Old Dominion University was established in 1930 as the Norfolk Division of The College of William and Mary, and became independent in 1962. It is a public research university, located in Norfolk, Virginia, USA. The institution is known to be one of the largest US providers of online distance learning courses, while it also offers a well-rounded range of degree programs. The college offers excellent support to students and encourages them to study abroad for a semester or a full year.
