Modul University Vienna (MU) is a private university in Vienna, Austria, that teaches all its programmes in English. All programmes are accredited by the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria (AQ Austria), and the tourism programmes also hold the UN Tourism TedQual certification. The campus is on top of the Kahlenberg hill in the north of Vienna, in restored historic buildings that opened to students in 2007. The university was founded by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and students come from more than 70 nationalities.
Programmes cover five study areas: business, tourism, international relations, data science and sustainability.

There are intakes in spring and autumn. Applicants apply online and, after a review, have an admission interview by video call. The university helps international students with visas and residence permits and offers a personalised housing service with partner student residences at special rates. Scholarships are available at undergraduate, graduate and PhD level. Selected International Relations students can spend a semester at the University of Oxford.

Admission
Applications are made online. After the admissions team has checked eligibility, applicants book an interview with an admission coordinator on Microsoft Teams, where good conversational English is expected; the dean of the programme then decides. Admission is full or conditional, and conditional students may have to submit further documents or complete a Foundation semester or prerequisite courses.
Examples of bachelor's entry requirements for international curricula: IB Diploma with at least 24 points; three independent A Levels at grade C or above; or a US high school diploma with a GPA of at least 3.0 plus four APs, SAT results or an ACT score of at least 29.
Housing
MU offers a personalised housing service. Once the first tuition payment is received, a housing coordinator contacts the student with a short survey, recommends suitable providers, advises on neighbourhoods and commute times and guides the application for dormitories or private housing. Partner providers offer MU students special prices or discount codes, in four categories:
