Universidad de Burgos

The Universidad de Burgos (UBU) is a public university in Burgos, in the region of Castile and León. According to the university, it offers 105 qualifications and had 9,700 students in the 2025-26 academic year, about 1,000 of them international, as well as 100 recognised research groups. Its buildings include the Hospital del Rey, home to the university's main hall, and the Milanera and Río Vena sites of the Escuela Politécnica Superior.

Studies include:

• Official bachelor's degrees (grados), including a recently launched degree in Medicine and double degrees in engineering
• Official master's degrees, doctorates and online degrees
• The university's own degrees, continuing-education master's programmes, expert diplomas and university micro-credentials
• Spanish courses for foreigners, other language courses and summer courses
• Open online courses (UBUAbierta) and programmes for older learners

The UBU is a member of RUN-EU, a European University alliance, and hosts an Erasmus International Week, held in 2026 for the eleventh time. Students can live in the Camino de Santiago university residence. The university is also planning student apartment complexes at San Amaro, La Milanera and Río Vena, with an estimated rent of €300 a month including utilities.
