Students interested in entering clinically related health fields such as nursing, physical therapy, medicine or occupational therapy have a pathway through Saint Louis University's undergraduate degree in health sciences.
Saint Louis University’s School of Nursing offers students state-of-the-art schoolrooms and laboratories. In addition to the traditional Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, there’s a chance to do an accelerated one-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing, an accelerated two-year Masters of Science in Nursing or a registered nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
In addition to science and nursing courses, the nursing curriculum provides students with an accomplished liberal arts education background.
UIC’s teaching programme puts great importance on care, research and professional leadership. Students are what matters most, which is why UIC provide an energizing environment in which to learn. Over the course of a degree students will progress leadership skills and put them into practice in the Unit for Teaching and Research in Nursing Care (AIDIR).
Students will have the chance to take on external clinical seminars at public and private care centres and institutions. They will start practising in an open and contemporary mock healthcare setting focused on student learning, without putting the patient in danger. Students will attend interdisciplinary classes that put stress on peer-to-peer learning amongst Medicine students.
Students learn with a teaching staff specialized in all areas and in constant innovation, thanks to their research task that are operating to improve the quality of their classes. The personal instruction students receive allows UIC to understand their abilities and offer them guidance throughout their time at UIC.
