The University of Valencia is an institution of higher learning, based in the Spanish city of Valencia. It is one of the oldest surviving universities in Spain (founded in 1499), and the oldest in the Valencian Community. Most of all, the school is perceived to be one of Spain's leading academic institutions.

The University of Valencia operates three campuses: The Burjassot Campus, where the colleges of Biology, Pharmacy, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and the School of Engineering are housed. The Blasco Ibañez Campus, where are the Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, Philosophy and Educational Sciences, Psychology, Geography and History, Languages, Physical Education, Physiotherapy, Nursing and, the School of Elementary Teacher Training. And finally, Tarongers, which houses the Schools of Law, Economics and Business, as well as Social Sciences. The university takes care of its internationalization by establishing links and partnerships with universities world-wide, as well as taking part in international programs and networks.
