Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio (UAX) is a private university in the Madrid region with more than 30 years of history. Its main campus is in Villanueva de la Cañada, and it also has a site in Chamberí; a shuttle bus links the Villanueva campus with stops in Madrid and Pozuelo. UAX offers more than 150 qualifications, including bachelor's degrees, postgraduate programmes and vocational training (FP), taught face-to-face, online or in blended format.

Students come from more than 67 countries, and some degrees are taught entirely in English, such as Business Administration and Management, which is offered in Spanish or English. Programmes include work placements and international stays. The university states that it has more than 8,800 agreements with companies and that the 2023 U-Ranking of the BBVA Foundation and Ivie placed it first in Spain for graduate job placement.
