Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) is a public college in Lawrenceville, Georgia, in the United States, in Gwinnett County about 30 miles north-east of downtown Atlanta. It opened in 2006 as the first four-year college founded in Georgia in more than 100 years, and it is a member of the University System of Georgia. GGC has more than 12,700 students and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate, bachelor's and master's degrees.
The college offers more than 20 majors with over 60 programmes of study, in fields such as business, education, information technology, nursing, biology, chemistry, criminal justice, English, history and cinema and media arts production, as well as minors and certificates. It emphasises small class sizes, and a viewbook is available in Spanish.
International undergraduates apply online through a Grizzly Profile, with a credential evaluation of their secondary school record and proof of English (TOEFL iBT 69 or IELTS 6). F-1 students can apply for a limited, competitive international out-of-state tuition waiver. Residential students live in apartment-style housing with private bedrooms, a bathroom shared with one other person, on-site laundry, a fitness room and 24-hour security.

Admission
International undergraduate applicants create a Grizzly Profile, apply online and pay a US$30 non-refundable fee. Requirements:
- Minimum 2.00 high school GPA (transfer: cumulative 2.00 GPA)
- Proof of English proficiency
- A document-by-document evaluation of the high school record with GPA from a NACES member or InCred (transfer: course-by-course evaluation; not needed with 30 or more transferable credits)
- After admission: immunization verification and a bank statement or letter covering one academic year of expenses
Language requirements
International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency. GGC's minimum scores are TOEFL iBT 69 and IELTS 6; other exams on the University System of Georgia English Proficiency Chart are accepted. The requirement can be waived with Next Gen ACCUPLACER scores of 237 in Reading Comprehension and 4 in WritePlacer, or, for transfer students, with English 1101 or 1102 passed with a C or better at a U.S. accredited institution.
Deadlines
Applications for the 2027 spring, summer and fall semesters are open. Priority deadlines: spring semester 1 November, summer semester 1 April, fall semester 1 May. Deadlines falling on a weekend move to the next business day.
Scholarships and financial aid
F-1 international students can apply to International Student and Scholar Services for an international out-of-state tuition waiver. Waivers are limited and competitive, and are awarded on demonstrated financial need, essay quality and community service. The application is open twice a year: 1 October to 15 December and 1 April to 1 July.
Housing
All residential students live in apartment-style housing with private bedrooms (Twin XL bed, walk-in closet) and a bathroom shared with only one other person. Suites have furnished living and dining areas and a kitchenette with full-size refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. Buildings offer card-controlled access, 24-hour security, study rooms, computer labs, an art studio, a fitness room and laundry. A summer housing programme is also available.
