The British School of Barcelona (BSB) is a private British international school belonging to the Cognita group. Its Castelldefels campus, at Carrer Ginesta 26, south of Barcelona, teaches students aged 3 to 16 in Early Years, Primary and Secondary, following the English National Curriculum. BSB runs six campuses in Barcelona, Castelldefels and Sitges, with a new campus coming in Cabrera de Mar, and its students come from more than eighty countries. After Year 11, students can continue to Pre-University at BSB Nexus, also in Castelldefels, where BSB offers A Levels and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme as an authorised IB World School.
BSB states that it kept its 'Outstanding in Every Category' rating in the British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection of October 2024. The Castelldefels campus has separate areas for Early Years, Primary and Secondary, nine science laboratories, a music department, a 376-seat theatre and sports courts, next to a 9,000 m² rugby and football stadium and the BSB STEM Centre.
Admission starts with a conversation with the admissions team and a visit or open day. After applying, children have an informal assessment or interview of their English, according to year group, and an interview with the Headteacher. Children joining Nursery or Reception need no prior English.

School fees for the 2026-27 academic year (BSB Castelldefels, Sitges and Nexus):
- Matriculation fee: €3,400, paid once and non-refundable
- Year 7: €17,700 per year
- Year 8: €18,370 per year
Annual fees are paid in ten instalments, with a 2% discount for paying the full year by bank transfer before the year starts. Siblings get a discount on tuition from the third child.
