The Università degli Studi "Magna Græcia" di Catanzaro (UMG) is a university in Catanzaro, in the Calabria region of southern Italy. Its "Salvatore Venuta" campus lies on the edge of the city, a few kilometres from the centre, in the Germaneto area, and covers more than 170 hectares; teaching has taken place there since 2004.

The academic offer for 2026-27 is organised in three main structures, with a strong focus on medicine and health:

  • School of Medicine and Surgery: Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy and other health professions, psychology, sport sciences and computer and biomedical engineering
  • School of Pharmacy and Nutraceuticals: Pharmacy, biotechnology, animal production and cosmetic sciences
  • Department of Law, Economics and Sociology (DIGES): Law, business economics, sociology and social work, and Healthcare Management

Courses are offered at bachelor's (laurea) and master's (laurea magistrale) level, including single-cycle degrees. The university publishes specific guidance for non-EU applicants for 2026-27, has an international students section and an international contacts page, and runs an e-learning platform.

  • Biotechnology, animal production and cosmetic sciences
  • Investigation sciences, business economics, organisation of public and private administrations, sociology and social work

Single-cycle degrees include Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Law.

  • Biomedical Engineering
