Course on Clinical Neurodynamics
Neural mobilisation is a non-invasive method that physiotherapists have used for years. Publications on neural disorders can often be complex, something which makes it hard to apply neurodynamic methods safely and effectively and has led to a gap in many practitioners’ clinical experience. Due to the lack of professionals with highly developed knowledge of neurodynamics, the novelty of these methods and the increasing demand for instruction among physiotherapists, the need for teaching in the area has become apparent. Due to this, Michael Shacklock has developed an applied and systematic technique for the clinical application of neurodynamics, which, thanks to new ideas such as structural differentiation or neurodynamic sequencing, helps physiotherapists deal with musculoskeletal problems with a neural component.

Course on Diacutaneous Fibrolysis: Kurt-Ekman Method
Diacutaneous Fibrolysis is a method of treating pain in the musculoskeletal system that brings excellent results, particularly in soft tissue. Its system of action consists of destroying adhesions and irritative corpuscles that develop between the different sliding surfaces of the soft tissues, by means of hooks applied to the skin. This method was created by the Swedish physiotherapist Kurt Ekman in the 1950s and since that time it has evolved substantially. These changes have been possible thanks to research and knowledge resulting from research, chiefly in the area of mechano-transduction. Today, the therapy is based on a centripetal approach, initially treating areas distal to the injury that are anatomically and biomechanically related to the disfunction. This method enables physiotherapists to treat the cause of the disfunction and stop the potential adverse effects of directly treating the painful area.

Course on Releasing Myofascial Restrictions
The fascia is a framework of very tough connective tissue that extends throughout the whole body like a three-dimensional network. Membranous in appearance, it links and encloses all of the body’s networks, providing support, protection and shape. Myofascial restriction is the physical change to the fascia that can be the result of surgical procedures, traumas, repeated micro-traumas, bad posture, stress, etc. These restrictions can result in pathological fascial tension which, if not treated properly, can end up with hypermobility and the loss of flexibility, the onset of pain and elasticity in the fascial system. Myofascial Release Techniques (MRT) include a procedure of assessment and treatment which, through movements and pressure applied over a period of time, succeeds in eliminating the restrictions. The aim of this course is to give students the necessary skills and ability to identify and treat myofascial restrictions and restore functional equilibrium.

Dentistry is one of the Health Sciences and the experts who practice in this area must be educated to prevent, diagnose and treat the different oral diseases endured by their patients. They also need to consider the characteristics and needs of society. Restorative Dentistry is responsible for treating occlusal-masticatory function and anatomy, speech and aesthetics related to the stomatognathic system. All of these problems are caused by periodontal disease or trauma, caries and are treated with dental prosthetics or adhesive dentistry methods. Techniques involving dental adhesion and dental hard tissues has had a significant effect on dentistry. Procedures relating to adhesive dentistry, dental therapeutics and dental prosthetics entail using many types of materials that stick to dental hard tissues (enamel or dentine). Once they have stuck to the tooth surface, the materials and tooth become a single unit. Thanks to new adhesion methods and new dental materials, the phrase Restorative Dentistry has emerged as a meeting point between prosthetics and dental therapeutics, two fields that were originally different and now share the same goals and therapeutics.

Master's Degree in Craneomandibular Dysfunction and Orofacial Pain
Craniomandibular pain (CMP) and orofacial pain (OP) are widespread in the general population since these syndromes incorporate a huge number of pathologies in the craniomandibular and cervical and scapular area. Craniomandibular and orofacial pain comprises some of the most significant symptoms of craniomandibular/cervical muscular pathologies along with temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD), primary headaches (trigeminal autonomic headaches, migraines, tension-type headaches) and orofacial neuropathies/neuralgias (mainly trigeminal). This diversity among clinical organisations means it is extremely difficult to perform a differential diagnosis which often can lead to frustration both for patients and the healthcare professionals. It is important to mention that one of the main objectives of UIC is research in all areas of knowledge. This is reflected in the ongoing education performed by new doctors, the growth in scientific publications and the number of research projects commenced annually. By setting up this degree in CMP and OP UIC aims to start up three main lines of research.

Master’s Degree in Foot and Ankle Pathology and Surgery
Detailed training in foot and ankle pathology is required to respond to the needs of patients. In a few years, we have gone from two or three techniques that resolve 95% of forefoot conditions to over 200. Hallux rigidus and metatarsalgia, flat feet, hallux valgus, high arches and ankle arthropathy are just a few. Advancement is fast and new technologies are putting precise, better developed and highly resolutive tools into professional hands. Techniques like arthroscopy, osteotomies, major corrections and prosthetic surgery require detailed training. In an effort to meet modern challenges, we require progressive, regulated training founded on scientific knowledge and the expertise of accredited food and ankle practitioners. The Integrated Health Consortium, with its wide-ranging portfolio of foot and ankle services, and UIC Barcelona University have developed an ambitious detailed training programme: the Master’s Degree in Foot and Ankle Pathology and Surgery.
