The Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro (UniBa) is a university based in Bari, in the Apulia region of southern Italy, with its main building on Piazza Umberto I and further sites in Brindisi and Taranto.
Studies follow the Italian three-cycle system:
- Three-year bachelor's degrees (laurea, 180 CFU)
- Two-year master's degrees (laurea magistrale, 120 CFU)
- Five- or six-year single-cycle master's degrees (300/360 CFU)
- Doctorates (3-4 years) and specialisation schools
- First- and second-level university master's programmes, advanced and intensive courses
Most programmes are taught in Italian; the single-cycle degree in Medicine and Surgery (LM-41) is also offered in English, with applications through the national Universitaly portal (deadline 9 September 2026 for the 2026-27 intake).
Applicants with a foreign school or university qualification are handled by the International Students office (U.O. Studenti Internazionali, [email protected]), which runs qualification-assessment intakes for the 2026-27 academic year, publishes an International Student Guide and puts applicants in touch with student ambassadors. UniBa holds the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027 and has a university language centre.
