The Alliance Française de Toulouse is a school for the teaching and promotion of the French language and francophone cultures, in Toulouse since 1985. It is based in the Maison des Associations building at 3 place Guy Hersant (31400 Toulouse). According to the school, 50,000 students from more than 100 countries have studied there.

Courses are taught by specialist teachers of French as a foreign language, follow the CEFR and are held in small groups of up to 15 students; each student takes an individual placement test first. The school is a DELF examination centre and a TCF test centre approved by France Éducation international.

  • Intensive General French: 17.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday mornings (A1-C1)
  • Afternoon courses (B1-B2) and online evening courses
  • Workshops in phonetics and oral expression
  • DELF and TCF IRN exam preparation
  • Individual lessons and French for specific purposes

Tourist, cultural, gastronomic and sports activities are organised every month. The accommodation service offers enrolled students host families or self-catering accommodation, and the school also organises stays for individuals and groups.

Programmes

  • Afternoon course: 3 hours per week, Tuesday and Thursday, levels B1 and B2
  • Online evening course: 4 hours per week, Tuesday and Thursday
  • Workshops: phonetic correction and oral expression (A2-B2)
  • Preparation for DELF A2, B1 and B2 and for the TCF IRN
  • Individual lessons, in class or online, and French for specific purposes

Housing

The school's accommodation service places enrolled students with host families or in self-catering accommodation. Host-family stays are offered as room only, room and breakfast, or room and half board, and all packages include weekly laundry; hosts can collect students from the station or airport. A non-refundable €50 deposit opens the accommodation file, stays must match the dates of the course sessions, and students must provide proof of civil liability insurance.
