The Escuela de Diseño CEADE Leonardo is a design school in Seville, located in the Science and Technology Park on the Isla de la Cartuja, within the city and connected to the centre by bus and local train. It was created in 2003, and in 2011 the Andalusian regional government (Junta de Andalucía) authorised it as a Centro Autorizado de Estudios Superiores de Diseño. It awards official higher qualifications in design, equivalent to a university bachelor's degree, with 240 ECTS credits. More than 800 students have graduated from the school.

Admission to the design degrees requires a specific entrance test; applicants need the Bachillerato, a Técnico Superior in Plastic Arts and Design (direct access) or a maturity test. The school takes part in Erasmus+ with 10 partner universities. It shares the 20,000 m² Campus CEADE building with Centro Universitario San Isidoro, affiliated with Universidad Pablo de Olavide, which offers a university degree in Graphic Design and Digital Creativity. Facilities include a library of more than 7,000 volumes, about 200 Mac and PC workstations, a TV set, a radio studio and a photography studio.

The degrees are official higher qualifications in design, equivalent to a university bachelor's degree, with 240 ECTS credits. The specialisation diplomas are aimed at professionals in the textile sector. Erasmus+ exchanges are possible with 10 partner universities.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the design degrees requires passing a specific entrance test made up of three written and drawing exercises. There are three routes to the test:

  • Bachillerato, or a certificate showing that the applicant is in the second year of Bachillerato
  • Técnico Superior in Plastic Arts and Design: direct access, subject to available places
  • No formal qualifications: maturity test for applicants over 18

Applicants also submit an admission application and have a personal interview; once admitted, the place must be reserved within ten days.
