French
At Suffolk University, students will study locally and think internationally. World Languages and Cultural Studies is a multidisciplinary department, the department has specialists in language, literature, art and cultural studies. Many students opt to study abroad to further widen their experience and gain a more in depth understanding of the world. Graduates with degrees in World Languages and Cultural Studies have numerous options. Some sign up to Law School or complete higher graduate studies. Some work for multi-national companies or non-governmental organisations, this includes work as interpreters, translators or in some other capacity and others serve in the diplomatic service or enter politics. Suffolk University’s elementary French courses develop writing, speaking, reading and listening skills, whilst their intermediate courses review grammar, practice speaking and continue to explore valid cultural and literary texts in a writing- intensive course.
