Cary Academy is an independent, coeducational, college-preparatory day school, serving grades 6-12. The institution was founded in 1997, since when it has been strictly following the mission to form a diverse learning environment, where discovery, innovation and excellence thrive. The school has been known with the fact that it puts great emphasis on using technology in the classroom, and therefore all students have tablet computers. As far as the curriculum is concerned, in the middle school students are required to take classes in science, math, social studies, English, foreign language, and PE. Furthermore, students are also required to choose an elective in the arts. The high school also offers great diversity of required and elective courses, as well as a wide range of AP courses.
