The Colegio Los Sauces is a nondenominational, apolitical and pluralist institution of education, at which students are enrolled without discrimination of race, sex or religion. The school’s experience of almost 40 years allows it to offer an educational model that promotes human values, creates excellent habits of study and work, teaches coexistence and mutual respect, and takes into account the beliefs of each individual.

The Colegio los Sauces first opened its doors in October of 1974 as a school for Early Childhood Education in the community known as Colonia El Viso in Madrid, Spain. In September of 1981 the school opened its first private school in Los Sauces in La Moraleja, Madrid, and 10 years later, in September of 1991, Pontevedra de Torrelodones also opened. The final two schools to join the Colegio los Sauces family were opened in May of 1992 (in Dublin) and in September of 1994, when the College of Vigo was added.

The Colegio los Sauces is a private school covering all stages of non-university education, including preschool, kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and the Spanish baccalaureate or Bachillerato.

The mission of the Colegio los Sauces is to provide comprehensive training to each of their students at various stages of development and, with respect to their beliefs, make efforts in the cultivation of their human values. The school also strives to create excellent study and work habits and urges students to work hard as a way of reaching their full potential, not only as students, but as human beings in general. The school desires to be the first choice for families that are seeking academic excellence and emotional maturity for their children—a place that prepares students for the challenges that await them in an ever-growing global society.
