Located in Worcester, England, Kingsway English Centre is a small boutique family-run English language school offering the very best quality of instruction to mature adults who want nothing but the finest from their language-learning program.

Owned by Rick and Sue Johns, Kingsway English Centre was started in 1988 in the owners’ home near Worcester with one student (from Sudan). The school is now located in an elegant building of 800 square kilometers in the city’s center and caters to dozens of students each year.

Over the last 25+ years, the owners and small staff at the Kingsway English Centre has personally done all the jobs in the school, including the teaching, airport transfers, leading the social trips and even doing the cleaning every evening.

Although they now have a dedicated team of people to help, Rick and Sue Johns, from experience, know exactly how they want every job done and so the quality at the centre comes right from the top.

The reason the owners consider the Kingsway English Centre a “boutique” English school is because they are small and independently owned – they are not part of a big chain. The centre hosts approximately 10-15 students during their winter term and about 25-35 students in the summer. These small class sizes guarantee that students will always get very personal and dedicated attention from their expert instructors. The small class sizes also ensure rapid progress and a faster rate of mastery.

The Kingsway English Centre caters to adult students—the average age of the student body is about 40 years and the typical age range is 30 – 65 years—which means that students will be surrounded by adults only.

The Kingsway English Centre typically hosts students of approximately 10 different nationalities and everyone is highly motivated to learn the English language. The quality of the school can only be described as exceptional. Their attention to detail can be seen in every aspect of their service, which means that the school runs very efficiently.
