Lingua Service Worldwide, Ltd. is an independent language study abroad agency based in Danbury, Connecticut, in the United States, which has offered foreign language study abroad programmes since 1988. It represents private language schools around the world that run full-immersion language courses, designed to teach a language in the country where it is spoken in a short time. The agency states that it does not own or have a financial interest in any of the schools, and that its staff visit and inspect them regularly.

Programmes are grouped by audience:

• Courses for adults
• Courses for teenagers
• Professional courses
• Senior 50+ courses with cultural activities and excursions

Destinations include Spanish in Spain and Latin America (for example Costa Rica), French in France, Italian in Italy and German in Austria. The agency registers students at the chosen school, gives information on accommodation and handles payments in US dollars. Most schools have rolling admission, with courses starting almost any Monday for all levels except complete beginners, who must follow set start dates. Applications received less than 30 days before the start of a programme may incur late fees.
