Study in Huesca, Spain

Study in Huesca, Spain

Travel through the rich, scenic countryside of northeastern Spain to discover several bustling, hidden metropolises. The Spanish region of Huesca deserves as much mention as the glorious cities of Barcelona or Madrid. Huesca itself may not be the most populated place in Spain, but it definitely tops the list in education destinations.

The actual city of Huesca is extremely limited on educational opportunities, though the entire region is a little more open to higher education institutions. Despite this, the region is still very limited when it comes to post-secondary education. There are far more schools available in nearby cities like Lleida and Saragossa than in the actual region of Huesca. The campuses that do exist are associated with universities based in other cities. Some of the few higher education opportunities in Huesca include a Spanish language-learning school in Jaca (Aulahispánica) and some independent campuses and schools associated with the University of Zaragoza. There is also an art school known as the Escuela de Arte de Huesca.

Backed by the beautiful Pyrenees, Huesca is an excellent study location for students that love the outdoors. Skiing, snowboarding, bicycling and many outdoor sports abound in this slice of Spanish countryside. Canyoning is also a dangerous but thrilling sport pursued in Huesca. The beautiful landscapes eventually give way to the captivating city of Huesca, which houses an old town district and stunning cathedrals. Make sure to celebrate during the August festivals, famous for their wildness.
