Bircham University’s Traditional Chinese Medicine program covers the philosophy, diagnostic and therapeutic methods of Oriental Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The program’s objective is to show students how to combine the concepts and techniques of Oriental Medicine into naturopathic practice. This involves applying TCM ideologies to the human body; appreciating the connection between the Oriental zangfu (organs) and having a deep comprehension of the Oriental diagnostic methods. After strong diagnosis, students will learn how to use various principles and techniques to treat diseases and balance patients' Qi. Methods learned will comprise acupressure, moxibustion, tuina, and Chinese herbs and nutrition.
