Midlands State University (MSU) is a state university in Gweru, Zimbabwe. It grew out of Gweru Teachers College, which began enrolling students for University of Zimbabwe education degrees in 1998, and became Zimbabwe's third state university under the State University in the Midlands Act of April 1999. Besides its main campus in Gweru, it has campuses in Zvishavane, Harare and Kwekwe.
