UIC Barcelona provides training in the field of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (OMT), a specific branch of physiotherapy. We evaluate and treat neuromusculoskeletal disorders. This Master’s Degree in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy course is based on clinical reasoning, a biopsychosocial methodology to patients and scientific and clinical evidence. OMT integrates all of the information and experience of Manual Therapy (MT) and achieves the training standards laid out by the IFOMPT. The Master's Degree in OMT will help physiotherapists: Integrate a scientific evidence and measurement results-based methodology into your procedures; Identify risk factors, precautions and contraindications and incorporate the patient into the assessment and treatment process; Conduct a complete evaluation of the neuromusculoskeletal system, involving functions and disorders; Launch a clinical diagnosis and design a complete treatment plan as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team; Obtain expertise in all OMT procedures; Implement advanced clinical methods as part of a patient-focused model; and create and take part in health management and promotion programmes.

The Master in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, at UIC is accredited by the Network of Erasmus Based European Orthodonic Postgraduates Programs NEBEOP, that depend on the European Orthodontic Society (EOS). Theoretical study is chiefly based around a method of tutorials, seminars and theoretical lessons that will be led by selected faculty. Students must attend and participate in these activities and to complete the corresponding exercises regarding the various topics assigned to them. Practical training is provided at three levels: laboratory, preparing an orthodontic apparatus and preclinical; Acquisition of the skills and methods inherent to orthodontic treatments prior to treating patients; Clinical treatment of patients at the University Dental Clinic (CUO).
