How bad is it to have a failed class on your transcript?

If you fail a class, you'll get a 0 on your transcript — and that can bring down your GPA. Failed classes count toward your GPA, though some colleges do not count pass/fail classes in your GPA calculation. If you get an F, you still have to pay for the class without receiving any credit toward your degree.

Can FLVS detect cheating?

FLVS instructors utilize technologies to check for authenticity. Copying, knowingly allowing others to copy from you, and/or misusing the internet content could result in removal from your course. Academic integrity is the cornerstone of learning at FLVS.

Is FLVS Flex considered homeschool?

FLVS Flex allows students to take one or more online courses anytime during the year. It is open to homeschool students who want to customize their own schedule and curriculum or traditional students who take the majority of their courses at a public or private school.

Can you finish FLVS Flex early?

Students can take one, multiple, or all of their courses with FLVS, and with year-round enrollment, students have the freedom to start and finish a course at any time.

What is the age limit for FLVS Flex?

Students can enroll through age 19 but must complete their courses before age 21.

How do I drop out of FLVS Flex?

Once a classroom is assigned, you will need to call or email the assigned teacher to request withdrawal. Note that only the enrolling parent/guardian may withdraw their student from FLVS Flex Elementary. Does my child have to take the End-of-Course (EOC) Assessments? No.

What's the difference between FLVS and FLVS Flex?

FLVS flex is the way it sounds, more flexible. FLVS flex does use the same curriculum and teachers as FLVS, this is not flexible. However, you may pick and choose classes instead of having to take all courses offered for your middle or high school child's grade level which is why they termed is FLVS flex.

Can online schools tell if you cheat?

With the right procedures in place, any online exam can detect cheating. Authentication measures, web monitoring, data forensics, and proctoring (just to name a few) all make it hard for test takers to get away with ever cheating on your test.

Is it wrong to cheat in online school?

Can you get rid of an F on your transcript?

Parents and students tend to assume that the bad grade will be completely removed from the student's transcript, but this may not be the case. Some colleges will amend the bad grade or class with a kind of notation, while others will keep both grades on the record.

Can I replace an F on my transcript?

Grade replacement may be a way that students try to raise their GPA if they have experienced one/some low grades in high school. It is up to the local school corporation if they allow grade replacement and if so, how the course is reflected on the student transcript and how GPA is subsequently calculated.
