BEST Programs is an organisation based near Madrid that arranges study, internship and volunteer programmes abroad. It describes itself as a non-subsidised, non-affiliated firm offering budget internship programmes around the world for professional and personal experiential learning. It was founded by Jill Arcaro, and its office is at Calle Solano 11 in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid), open by appointment only.
Its main programme in Spain is a study visa programme in Madrid for non-European students, based on Spanish language classes of at least 20 hours a week for 7 to 12 months. The programme includes:
- An official admission letter and step-by-step visa coaching
- Visa-compliant health insurance
- Arrival support (NIE, SIM card, orientation) and airport pickup
- The right to work part-time, up to 30 hours a week
Housing options include host families, shared flats and residences, with arrival orientation, a transport pass and 24/7 support. BEST also offers internship and volunteer programmes in other countries, for example in Cuba and in Tallinn, Estonia.

Admission
Requirements for the study visa programme in Madrid:
- Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the stay, and proof of funds of at least €700 per month
- Enrolment in Spanish classes of at least 20 hours a week for 7 to 12 months
- Private health insurance without deductibles or co-payments
- Police clearance and medical certificates, if the consulate requests them
- Consulate visa application form and the BEST Programs application form
The visa application should be filed with the consulate at least 4 weeks before arrival.
