Black Hills State University, founded in 1883, is a Masters level university located in the beautiful hills of South Dakota, USA. BHSU provides 77 high-quality programs for international students in a safe and welcoming environment. Spearfish is located in a region of the United States that is famous for its friendly citizens and safe communities. Students can easily build relationships on campus with faculty, staff, and professors. Our small community offers high quality education, friendly neighborhoods, and access to public transportation. BHSU offers many laboratory facilities with undergraduate and graduate students conducting research across all disciplines. Unique world-class research opportunities exist nearly 1.5 km below the earth's surface in the BHSU Sanford Underground Campus, the deepest underground classroom in the United States. Students explore some of the greatest physics phenomena of our time, including the nature of neutrinos and dark matter, along with a host of other cutting edge interdisciplinary projects and experiments. Black Hills State University received the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business Accreditation. It represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Less than 5% of the world's 13,000 business programs have earned an AACSB Accreditation.
