Osu No Sushi is a professional sushi academy located in the coastal town of Aoshima, in southern Japan. Designed specifically for international students, the school offers an immersive two-month training program taught entirely in English by a Michelin-starred sushi chef. The curriculum combines rigorous hands-on instruction in sushi techniques with deep exposure to traditional Japanese culture, including fermentation, pottery, incense, tea ceremony, and fishing. Classes are limited to six students per session to ensure personalized guidance. In addition to daily technical training, participants engage in weekly cultural workshops and live together in a shared dormitory, fostering a tight-knit, global learning environment. The program culminates in a public sushi presentation, and students are awarded a symbolic "belt" as part of their certification. Osu No Sushi welcomes aspiring chefs, culinary professionals, and food culture enthusiasts who wish to explore sushi not just as a cuisine, but as a cultural philosophy.
