The Universidad de Málaga (UMA) is a university in Málaga, on the Costa del Sol in Andalusia, and part of the Andalusian university system. It has more than 40,000 active students. Its faculties include sites such as the El Ejido campus, and two affiliated centres outside the city teach primary-teacher training in Antequera and nursing in Ronda.
The UMA offers bachelor's degrees and double degrees, master's degrees and double master's degrees, and doctoral programmes, as well as its own non-official courses and microcredentials through its lifelong learning centre. Bachelor's degrees cover five areas:
- Arts and humanities, including Translation and Interpreting
- Social sciences and law, including Tourism and Journalism
- Health sciences, including Medicine
- Sciences
- Engineering and architecture, including Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence
Some degrees are taught jointly with the Universidad de Sevilla, such as East Asian Studies and Biochemistry. Questions about pre-registration for official bachelor's and master's degrees are handled through the online request system of the university's Access Service, and enrolment for the 2026-27 academic year is done online (self-enrolment).
