Universidad de Murcia

The Universidad de Murcia (UMU) is a university in the city of Murcia. Its main address is on Avenida Teniente Flomesta, and its central academic administration is on the Espinardo campus. It offers officially recognised bachelor's degrees (grados), master's degrees and doctoral programmes, as well as bilingual study options, complementary training, a visiting-student scheme, and university extension courses and summer schools.

Teaching is organised in more than twenty faculties and a Doctoral School (Escuela de Doctorado). They include:

  • Facultad de Bellas Artes and Facultad de Biología
  • Facultad de Ciencias del Deporte
  • Facultad de Derecho and Facultad de Economía y Empresa
  • Facultad de Educación, Facultad de Enfermería and Facultad de Farmacia
  • Facultad de Informática and Facultad de Medicina
  • Facultad de Turismo and Facultad de Veterinaria

Bachelor's degrees can be accessed after the Bachillerato and the PAU, from vocational training, through the entrance routes for people over 25, 40 and 45, or with qualifications from foreign education systems, which can also give access to master's and doctoral studies. For housing, the university runs an accommodation exchange, an intergenerational programme in which students live with older people, the Colegio Mayor Azarbe and the Vimur database for sharing with international students, and it lists private university residences and a regional youth residence.
