Study, Work, Volunteer and Travel in Anguilla

Tucked away in the Caribbean, Anguilla is the most northerly of the British Leeward Islands. It consists of the main island of Anguilla itself, approximately 16 miles long by 3 miles wide at its widest point, as well as a number of much smaller islands and cays with no permanent population.

This laidback little island in the backwaters is quickly metamorphosing into a popular luxury destination. Despite the posh villas and upscale resorts mushrooming all over the island, the lazy charm of the indigenous people permeates the atmosphere. Goats wander the streets. Reggae music wafts on the wind. Fishing boats trawl the seas. And on a clear day, there is nothing better to do than lie on the beach sipping a rum cocktail.

The capital of Anguilla is The Valley, which is home to a little more than thousand people and the island’s only town. Primarily a tourist destination, The Valley is far less advanced than capital cities in most parts of the world.
