Acadia University is a liberal arts university in Wolfville, Nova Scotia (Canada), founded in 1838. Its 250-acre campus lies in the town of Wolfville, about an hour's drive from Halifax and its international airport. The university has 3,574 students from nearly every Canadian province and nearly 60 countries. On its own website, Acadia calls itself the #1 undergraduate university in Nova Scotia.
Degree programmes are offered in the faculties of Arts, Professional Studies, Pure and Applied Sciences, and Theology, with more than 200 degree options and 22 degrees with co-op. The average class size is 28 students and the student-to-professor ratio is 15:1. At graduate level there are 18 programmes, mostly master's degrees in arts, education, kinesiology and the sciences, plus a PhD in Educational Studies.
International applications are reviewed individually according to each country's education system, and applicants whose first language is not English submit official language test results. All international students are guaranteed a place in on-campus residence for the duration of their studies.

Applications for Fall 2027 are open; applications are accepted any time after 21 September. Requirements depend on the applicant's education system and every international application is reviewed individually. Applicants need:
- CDN$40 application fee
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended
- Official language test results if English is not their first language
Examples of minimum school qualifications: Spain, Título de Bachiller with an average of 7/10; Peru, Bachiller with 12/20; Mexico, Bachillerato (assessed on the transcript's grade scale); IB Diploma with IB English and 24 points.
The university states that it awards $8 million in scholarships and financial aid each year. Applicants who apply by 1 March 2027 are considered for entrance scholarships and are notified by mid-April. International students starting in Fall 2026 also receive a CAD 2,000 residence discount each year for up to four years.
All international students are guaranteed a place in on-campus residence for the duration of their studies, and 90% of first-year students live in residence.
