Adelaide University is South Australia's largest university, with seven campuses: Adelaide City Campus in the city centre, Magill, Mawson Lakes and Waite in the inner suburbs of Adelaide, and Mount Gambier, Roseworthy and Whyalla in regional South Australia. It builds on more than 180 years of collective experience of its foundation institutions and is a member of the Group of Eight, Australia's research-intensive universities. The university states that it is ranked #79 in the world in the 2027 QS World University Rankings and #141 in the 2027 THE World University Rankings.
Teaching is organised in six colleges: Business and Law; Creative Arts, Design and Humanities; Education, Behavioural and Social Sciences; Engineering and Information Technology; Health; and Science. Besides undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, there are research degrees, 100% online degrees, short courses, study abroad and exchange, an English Language Centre and pathway providers for international students.
International applicants need an IELTS Academic overall score of at least 6.0 (or equivalent) for undergraduate study, with higher scores for some degrees, and must meet Genuine Student and financial capacity requirements. Most international scholarships are assessed automatically with the degree application. The university-managed Adelaide University Village is the main student residence, and the accommodation team also arranges airport pickup.
