International applicants choose one of the technical programmes open to them and must meet its admission conditions and the eligibility criteria for studying in Quebec. They apply online through the regional admission service (SRAM), one application for one programme at a time, paying CAD 85 per application. Typical documents:
- Birth certificate
- Transcripts for the last years of study and diploma, if any
- French test result
The cégep takes 4 to 6 weeks to review an application. Admitted students then obtain a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ), a Canadian study permit and health insurance, and register through Omnivox. Nursing admissions in Mont-Laurier close in early January.
The cégep has student residences on the Saint-Jérôme campus, a few steps from classes: 36 apartments with three or four bedrooms and 21 with six bedrooms in five buildings. Each tenant has a private bedroom and shares the kitchen, living room, dining room and bathroom. Leases run for 9.5 months, from mid-August to 31 May, and can be renewed for up to four years. Demand exceeds the number of rooms, so a waiting list is kept; the college also works with nearby landlords and a Facebook group lists rentals.
