The Cégep de Victoriaville is a cégep (college) in Victoriaville, Quebec (Canada). Besides its main campus, it includes the École nationale du meuble et de l’ébénisterie (furniture making and cabinetmaking, in Victoriaville and Montreal), the Institut national d’agriculture biologique (organic agriculture) and the Centre intégré de formation et d’innovation technologique (CIFIT).

Its programmes include two-year pre-university DECs and three-year technical DECs, some with optional paid work-study placements (ATE), as well as vocational DEPs:

  • Pre-university: Sciences de la nature, Sciences humaines (sustainable business, social intervention, international relations), Arts, lettres et communication
  • Health and social services: nursing, early childhood education, special education, social work
  • Business administration and computer science
  • Architecture, civil and electrical engineering technologies
  • Organic fruit, vegetable and animal production
  • Furniture making, cabinetmaking and upholstery

International students need French at an advanced B2 level and must prove their financial capacity; supplementary tuition fees apply, except for exempted students such as French citizens under the Quebec-France agreement. The college has two student residences, one on the main campus with 107 rooms and one downtown with 77 rooms.

Admission Requirements

International applicants first read the requirements, then fill in the college's information request form; a staff member then contacts them to continue the process. Requirements include:

  • French at an advanced B2 level, oral and written (some applicants are exempt)
  • Proof of financial capacity: living costs, health insurance, school supplies and settling-in costs estimated at $24,617 for the first year, return airfare, and supplementary tuition fees where applicable
  • A deposit of $8,000 for international students who pay supplementary tuition fees
  • General admission: a secondary school diploma or equivalent and any programme prerequisites

Language Requirements

International students need oral and written French at an advanced B2 level, shown with an accepted French test; some applicants can be exempted from the test.

Fees

Supplementary tuition fees for international students, 2026-2027, per session (amounts set annually by Quebec's Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur):

  • Pre-university DECs and most social, education, business and computing programmes: $7,575
  • Electrical engineering, architecture, civil engineering, furniture and cabinetmaking (DEC and DEP): $9,805
  • Agricultural programmes and nursing: $11,740

French citizens are exempt under the Quebec-France agreement. The college estimates living, insurance and settling-in costs at $24,617 for the first year.

Housing

Two student residences:

  • Résidence du campus: 107 rooms in a six-storey building on the main campus; furnished single or double rooms with Wi-Fi, shared kitchen, lounge, study and games rooms; 12-month lease, 2026-2027 rents from $350 to $430 per month (single) or $310 to $345 (double, per person)
  • Résidence du centre-ville: 77 renovated single rooms with private bathroom in downtown Victoriaville, $579 per month in 2026-2027

When the residences are full, the college lists off-campus rooms and apartments.
