Admission Requirements

Applicants without Canadian temporary status apply online through the international section of the SRAM, which lists available places by cégep and programme. The SRAM compares the applicant's studies with Quebec requirements and forwards the file to the college. Admitted students receive a detailed acceptance letter (programme length, fees, deadlines, required documents) and use it to apply for a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ), a study permit and, if the programme requires it, an internship work permit. Applicants who already hold Canadian temporary status apply as regular SRAM candidates.

Language Requirements

Programmes are taught in French. The SRAM decides whether an applicant must take a French test; the minimum level for admission is B2 in writing and speaking. With the Bright test this means at least 3.7 in every part; with DELF or DALF, an overall score of at least 67 and at least 16.75 in each of the four parts.

Housing

The Résidences étudiantes Montmorency are on the college grounds at 1600 boulevard du Souvenir in Laval and are managed entirely by a private company. The college's housing service gives advice on finding a room, lodging or apartment and on leases and tenants' rights.
