Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is a polytechnic university in the Metro Vancouver region of British Columbia, Canada, established by the provincial government in 1981. It has five campuses, in Surrey, Richmond, Langley, Cloverdale (KPU Tech) and Civic Plaza, and almost 20,000 students attend its courses each year.
KPU offers more than 140 programmes leading to bachelor's degrees, associate degrees, diplomas, certificates, citations and graduate diplomas and certificates, in seven faculties:

Many programmes include co-operative education, practicums, applied research or field schools, and students can ladder certificates and diplomas into bachelor's degrees. KPU International handles international admissions and publishes which programmes are eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit. Students who do not yet meet the English requirement can start through the Pathway to Undergraduate Studies, which combines English courses with selected undergraduate classes. KPU also has outbound and inbound student exchange programmes.

More than 140 programmes, from preparatory and vocational to undergraduate: bachelor's degrees, associate degrees, diplomas, certificates and citations. Areas range from the social sciences and laboratory science to business, design, health (including the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing), horticulture and trades such as farrier science.
KPU's graduate-level offer consists of post-baccalaureate diplomas, graduate diplomas and graduate certificates.
International students apply online and pay a CAD 120 application fee. To accept an offer, they pay a non-refundable confirmation deposit of CAD 5,000, which is credited towards tuition and refunded only if KPU cancels the intake or the study permit is refused. Before choosing a programme, applicants should check KPU's list of programmes eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). International recruitment coordinators hold virtual drop-in sessions almost every day.
Applicants who do not meet KPU's English proficiency requirement for undergraduate admission can enter through the Pathway to Undergraduate Studies. Students are placed at one of three Pathway levels based on their documents or assessment scores, and select undergraduate courses are available at levels 2 and 3. English classes have a maximum of 19 students, and international students pay 56% of the regular undergraduate rate for English Upgrading and English Language Studies courses.
International students, 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027 (Canadian dollars): about CAD 808.67 per credit for tuition and fees (tuition CAD 755.77 plus university student fees CAD 52.90); English Upgrading and English Language Studies courses CAD 447.55 per credit. Most full-time international students (9-15 credits per term, two terms) pay between CAD 16,400 and CAD 26,400 per year in tuition and mandatory fees. Application fee CAD 120; confirmation deposit CAD 5,000.
