International applicants apply through NBCC's international application portal, which lists the programmes and intakes currently accepting applications (applications for Winter 2027 and Fall 2027 are open). Programmes may open or close frequently, and the college sets enrolment targets by country of citizenship. A non-refundable application fee applies, and all international applicants must demonstrate academic English proficiency. Specialised programmes are not open to international students. Application status updates usually arrive within 6 to 8 weeks.
International applicants must show academic English proficiency with a test taken within the last two years (or be exempt, e.g. English as first language). Minimum scores:
- IELTS Academic 6.0 (no band below 5.5)
- TOEFL iBT 4.0 on the new scale (no section below 4.0), or 80 on the old scale (no section below 18)

NBCC does not offer on-campus housing; students must find their own accommodation, and the college provides housing resources and guides for its six campus communities. Because New Brunswick has a shortage of rental properties, students should start searching early and may need temporary accommodation at first; landlords usually advertise four to six weeks before move-in.
