SOFI 64 is an independent French language school in Anglet, near Biarritz in the French Basque Country, teaching adults aged 18 and over. The school is at 13 bis rue de Bouney, about 500 metres (five minutes) from the beach. It holds the Qualité FLE label and is a member of Groupement FLE and Green Standard School. Groups are limited to eight learners, and students come from more than 30 countries each year.

Lessons follow the communicative approach of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), with a focus on speaking, and all teachers hold a university degree specialising in teaching French as a foreign language. Programmes include:

  • Standard French (15 hours a week)
  • Intensive French (18 or 22.5 hours a week)
  • French and private tuition (18 hours a week)
  • French and Surf (plus 7.5 hours of surfing)
  • French and Yoga (plus 3 hours of yoga)
  • DELF and DALF preparation (19.5 hours a week)

At the end of the course, students receive a certificate stating the CEFR level reached. Accommodation options are host families in Anglet or Biarritz, partner hostels and a partner hotel. Students enrol through the online form on the school's website.
