The Cégep de l'Outaouais is a college of higher education in the Outaouais region of Quebec (Canada) and describes itself as the only French-language public college in the region. Like other cégeps, it offers programmes leading to the Quebec diploma of college studies (DEC): pre-university programmes of two years (four sessions), which lead to university, and technical programmes of three years (six sessions), which prepare students for the job market while keeping the option of university. DEC-BAC agreements with some universities can give credit for up to a full year of university study. All programmes include general education in French, philosophy, English and physical education.
