Fanshawe College is a comprehensive college in Ontario (Canada), one of the province's largest, with campuses in London, Simcoe, St. Thomas and Woodstock. It offers more than 220 degrees, diplomas, certificates and apprenticeship programmes to 43,000 students each year, and is a member of Polytechnics Canada.
Programmes cover applied arts, business, health care, human services, hospitality and technology, as well as skilled trades. Credentials include Ontario College Certificates, Diplomas and Graduate Certificates, and bachelor's degrees. Fanshawe has 70 co-op programmes and more than 600 pathways with partner institutions in over 10 countries.
International students apply online with a CAD 100 application fee and receive a Letter of Admission from the International Centre, which also supports them on arrival. Students who meet the academic requirements but need more English can receive a conditional offer and take the 10-level English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programme, certified by Languages Canada; completing Level 10 also meets the language requirement of Western University. Residence on campus is guaranteed for first-year students who apply and pay the fee.

English for Academic Purposes (EAP) runs in 10 eight-week levels for international students.
- Online application with supporting documents (high school, college or university transcripts and diplomas)
- CAD 100 application fee or deposit, paid via Flywire and applied to tuition
- Letter of Admission from the International Centre; a tuition deposit may be required before or within 30 days of receiving it
- After paying the deposit ($2,300, one semester or a full year depending on citizenship), request a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) for the study permit application
- Study permit application at a Canadian embassy or consulate
Admission and English requirements vary by programme.
English requirements vary by programme. Applicants with a recent (under two years) IELTS, TOEFL or Duolingo score may be placed directly into an EAP level; for example, Level 10 corresponds to IELTS 7, TOEFL 5.5 or Duolingo 125 on Fanshawe's reference chart. Completing EAP Level 10 with 75% meets the language requirement for Fanshawe degree programmes, and with 80% for Western University and its affiliated colleges, including master's and doctoral programmes.
2026-27: international tuition varies by programme and is listed in each programme's tuition summary. English for Academic Purposes costs CAD 3,411.36 tuition plus CAD 600.07 ancillary fees per eight-week level (CAD 4,011.43 in total). Applicants pay a CAD 100 deposit when applying. Living expenses are estimated at CAD 1,500 to 2,000 per month. Fees for Fall 2026 were due on 15 June 2026; for Winter 2027, new students pay by 19 October 2026.
Fanshawe offers more than $5 million in scholarships and bursaries, with about 975 scholarships awarded each year. International applicants can be considered for Academic Entrance Scholarships listed in the international applicants section.
On-campus residence is guaranteed for full-time first-year students who have accepted their offer, apply for residence and pay the fee; rooms are modern and fully furnished. Fanshawe's Off-Campus Housing service helps students find accommodation near the college, and Housing Mediation Services assist with disputes.
