The Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) is a public technical university in Madrid. Its central services are located at Paseo Juan XXIII 11. The university offers studies at every level:
- Official bachelor's degrees (grados)
- Official master's degrees
- Combined bachelor's and master's pathways
- Doctoral programmes
- The university's own qualifications (títulos propios), including master's programmes and specialist diplomas
- Lifelong learning courses and university microcredentials
Admission to bachelor's degrees is through the PAU university entrance exam and the pre-registration process of the Madrid single district (Distrito Único); the calendar, places and cut-off marks for 2026-2027 are published on the UPM admissions site. Students with previous university studies abroad follow a separate admission route with recognition of credits and a Spanish language requirement (certificates recognised by ACLES).
For international students, the UPM has an Internationalisation Service, exchange and double-degree programmes, a language centre (Centro de Lenguas UPM), international summer schools, a guide for foreign students and information on student accommodation.
