Den Norske Skolen Málaga (DNS Málaga) is a private Norwegian school in Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmádena, on the Costa del Sol, about 15 minutes west of Málaga and roughly 10 minutes from Málaga airport. It teaches years 1 to 10 of the Norwegian grunnskole (primary and lower secondary) and follows the Norwegian national curriculum, the Norwegian Education Act and the Private Schools Act. Places are open only to pupils who can document Norwegian citizenship.
Alongside the Norwegian programme, pupils in years 1 to 7 receive introductory Spanish lessons, and the school holds a Spanish culture week. Every pupil from year 1 has their own iPad as a learning tool. The school calendar combines Norwegian and Spanish events, with celebrations for Christmas, Easter and 17 May, beach days, a ski day and mountain trips.
Admission is once a year: the ordinary application deadline is 1 February before the school year starts, and later places are given from a waiting list if there is capacity. Short-term places are not offered. The school has no school bus, no after-school programme and does not help families find housing.
